Shawl Dancer Oma-gass-is

She is completed! It took me nearly 3 years to create this doll. She is nice though, I think. I like her. We had our ups and downs but I am happy with her. She is 98% cloth, 2% hide(moccasins and hair wrap), wire bones(frame), and a few beads.  Her name is Oma-gass-iss, which means Butterfly in English.

She is a young shawl dancer. I tried to capture the sweet serious intensity mixed with the slight giddy smugness of looking so great in public in her facial expression. I think I was close. Nit-alyi-age.
